Life

Home is Los Angeles, with my partner Kristin and our two pets. I grew up in Dallas, went to school in Durham, NC, and in adulthood lived in Oakland and Atlanta before moving to LA to be closer to friends.

Squid and Brie

Squid got his name because he's a clingy boy who loves cuddles. Brioche, or Brie, was supposedly found in France (hence her French names), and she loves to lie out in the sun until she's a Toasted Brioche Bun.

I am obsessed with them in an annoying way!

Friendsday Wednesday

We host/attend Friendsday Wednesday, which sometimes has an activity but is mostly just a reason to gather in someone's living room (or perhaps the beach?!) for a few hours after work.

Hot tip: if you want to give 30-somethings a low-stress activity that they'll end up doing for hours, I cannot recommend Shrinky Dinks (TM) enough.

Pismo

My sister, brother-in-law, and nieces live in Pismo, three hours up the coast. I go up to see them as often as I can, for the family, the hugs, the laughs, but also the incredible views.

The view near my sister's place. If I were a better photographer you'd be drooling!
