How I got here
At Duke I studied Computer Science and Women's Studies, hoping, but not expecting, that I'd get to combine them in my career. My junior year I found Lioness. I cold-emailed the team about why their work mattered to me: female pleasure deserves to be talked about without stigma, and it deserves real research.
They invited me to intern for the summer, so I flew out to Berkeley, got a room for a few months, and dove in headfirst. By the end of the summer, the founders pulled me aside to talk about signing on for a longer term position.
In 2016, I walked at graduation while planning to finish up my final two courses over the summer. Life took a different turn - and I chose to pursue my passion while it was available and wrap up the coursework later. Ten years later, I still have those two classes to go, but I'm proud of everything I accomplished at Lioness in the meantime.
